Reconstruction of the two national hospitals, Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital and Bir Hospital, which were severely damaged by the April 2015 earthquake in Nepal.
The people of Hospita suffer from three major communicable diseases: tuberculosis or multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB), tuberculosis with HIV/AIDS (TB/HIV), and malaria. It was therefore deemed necessary to design and construct a hospital in Kabul, including quarantine facilities and equipment procurement, that could treat people with these diseases.
