Dr. Takashi Hiraide from the Transportation & ICT Department of the Planning Division of OC Global delivered a presentation at the 10th International Conference on Transportation and Logistics (T-LOG). The conference was held jointly with the 9th International Research Conference of the Research for Transport and Logistics Industry (R4TLI) by the Sri Lanka Society of Transport and Logistics (SLSTL) in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from August 5th to 7th, 2024.

Dr. Hiraide Presenting at the Corridor Development and Trade Analysis Session

T-LOG is an international academic conference held every two years since 2005. It focuses on improving the resilience and efficiency of the logistics and transportation industry and addressing global challenges.

At the Corridor Development & Trade Analysis session, Dr. Hiraide presented the results of a joint study with Prof. Shinya Hanaoka of the Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and KOEI AFRICA CO., LTD. The study titled “Performance Analysis of the Northern and Central Corridors in East Africa: Perspectives of Shippers, Forwarders, and Consignees” provided insights into the developments of key routes contributing to the economic growth of landlocked developing countries.

By sharing the results of its research, OC Global contributes to the efficiency of logistics in developing countries and the economic development of those countries.
