Jakarta, INDONESIA – On December 12, 2023, Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. received a token of appreciation from PT Mass Rapid Transit Jakarta (MRTJ) at the GREAT LEAP! Stakeholder Gathering 2023 event.

MRTJ is the operating company of Jakarta’s Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), and it is a state-owned enterprise designated as the master developer of Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) along the MRT corridor by Governor’s Decree. In this context, a ceremony was held under the theme “GREAT LEAP!” signifying Global, Resilience, Extra mile, Acceleration, Transformation, and LEAP forward, to express gratitude to stakeholders supporting Jakarta’s development, operation, and growth. During the ceremony, tokens of appreciation were presented, and the event was attended by the Director General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation among other officials.

OC Global has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MRTJ and Jakarta Special Province regarding business creation strategies in TOD. OC Global has collaborated on the following projects as part of this partnership. These contributions were recognized, and OC Global was honored with the presentation of tokens of appreciation:
1) Support for MRTJ’s TOD Potential Development Seminar in Japan (20th June 2022)
2) Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MRTJ to jointly promote TOD in Jakarta (7th July 2022)
3) Support for MRTJ’s TOD Forum in Japan (29th November 2022)
4) Lecture at MRTJ’s TOD Forum in Jakarta (31st October 2023)
5) Signing of an MOU for general cooperation in the railway sector with MRTJ worldwide (1st November 2023)
6) Support for the visit of TOD stakeholders and journalists from MRTJ to Japan (12th November, 2023~19th November 2023)

MRTJ is preparing to overcome Jakarta’s challenges, pursue long-term corporate goals, and collaborate with other stakeholders to become a world-class railway operator. OC Global remains committed to supporting MRTJ in its dedication to contribute to Jakarta’s development as a global city, by promoting future economic growth through sustainable public urban transportation development.

OC Global collaborates with stakeholders in various emerging economies (SDG 17) to work on infrastructure development (SDG 9) and support the development and economic growth of the respective nations.
