MRT Jakarta TOD Officials and Indonesian Journalists Visit OC Global
Tokyo, JAPAN – On November 17, 2023, six officials from PT. Mass Rapid Transit Jakarta (MRT Jakarta) of Indonesia involved in Transit Oriented Development (TOD) and seven journalists from major Indonesian media visited the headquarters of Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. (OC Global), where they met with OC Global CEO / President Mr. Eiji Yonezawa.

During the discussion, Mr. Yonezawa delivered a presentation titled “Lessons Learned from Japan’s Transit Integration and TOD Implementation.” He explained Japanese TOD case studies and their implementation mechanisms to MRT Jakarta and the journalists, then engaged in discussion. OC Global was responsible for planning and supporting the execution of this 9-day visitation program. Throughout the program, with the cooperation of local partners, the participants visited various TOD examples in Japan, including Minato Mirai, Toranomon Hills Station, Busta Shinjuku, Takanawa Gateway Station, and Tama Garden City. On the final day, a review of the entire program took place in OC Global’s conference room.
MRT Jakarta operates the Jakarta MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) in Jakarta Province, and is designated as the master developer for TOD along the MRT corridor by the Provincial Governor’s decree. In November 2022, OC Global signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a strategic partnership for TOD project development with MRT Jakarta and the Jakarta Special Capital Region.
As of October 1, 2023, OC Global established the TOD Promotion Office as a subsidiary organization under the New Business Promotion Department. We will continue to be a trusted partner in promoting TOD for MRT Jakarta, contributing to the development of Indonesia.
