From August 19 (Wednesday) to August 21 (Friday), 2026, the Recirculating Aquaculture System Promotion Council, for which Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. (OC Global) serves as secretariat, participated in the 28th Japan International Seafood & Technology Expo held at Tokyo Big Sight.

During the three-day event, more than 140 visitors came to the Council’s booth. The booth introduced the latest technologies and case studies related to recirculating aquaculture systems through panel displays and other materials, while providing opportunities for active information exchange with visitors.

Land-based aquaculture is attracting attention as a technology that is less susceptible to the effects of the marine environment and contributes to the stable supply of seafood. In addition, land-based aquaculture has been identified as one of the key products and technologies in the food tech sector under Japan’s Growth Strategy. At this year’s exhibition, the Council therefore received numerous inquiries and comments from people not only in the fisheries industry but also from a wide range of other industries.

OC Global contributes to the stable supply of fresh, nutritious, safe, and secure products in preparation for future shortages of nutrition sources. We also contribute to reducing the burden on the oceans through land-based aquaculture.
