OC Global places the highest priority above all else on protecting the lives and property of employees and related parties engaged in activities around the world. Under the direct supervision of the President and CEO, the Company has established a Security Management Office that maintains a comprehensive support framework to address a wide range of overseas risks, including terrorism, natural disasters, conflicts, criminal activities, and civil unrest.

This training aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and practical response capabilities so that they can calmly protect themselves and act appropriately when confronted with unforeseen situations at overseas project sites. The training was conducted under the instruction of Mr. Yasuhiro Shimonuri, General Manager of the Security Management Office, who is a former senior officer of Japan’s Self-Defense Force and has experience serving as a consul and security officer at an overseas diplomatic mission.

The 12 participating employees actively participated in hands-on exercises involving actual movements, including specific evacuation procedures in the event of robberies, explosions, and gunfire encounters, as well as countermeasures to be taken during knife attacks. In addition, participants learned emergency response procedures, including rapid hemostasis techniques and the transportation of injured persons, through hands-on training.

Continuing from the previous training session, participants also took part in hands-on training based on a scenario involving sudden cardiac arrest. Each participant practiced the proper procedures for chest compressions and the use of an AED. Through this training, all participants once again recognized the importance of remaining calm and taking appropriate initial response actions even in high-pressure situations.

OC Global will continue to conduct practical safety training on a regular basis so that employees engaged in overseas operations can carry out their duties with confidence and peace of mind. The Company remains committed to strengthening its organization-wide safety management framework.
