Receipt of the First Commendation for International Contribution Activities from the Director-General of MLIT’s Ports and Harbours Bureau

Mr. Masatoki Nakanishi, Senior Project Manager of the Port & Harbor Department at Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. (OC Global), received the Commendation for International Contribution Activities presented by the Director-General of the Ports and Harbours Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan (MLIT).

This commendation was newly established this year by MLIT’s Ports and Harbours Bureau with the aim of strengthening the overseas expansion of infrastructure systems. It honors engineers who have made significant contributions by actively participating in activities such as the formulation of guidelines at international organizations related to ports and harbours. Nakanishi’s past activities were highly evaluated.

The award ceremony is scheduled to be held at MLIT on August 6.

For approximately 12 years, Mr. Nakanishi has worked energetically to promote Japan’s advanced technologies internationally through his activities with international organizations such as PIANC, the World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure, as well as with universities in Japan, government-sponsored committees, and consulting practice.

He has also actively presented analyses of causes and proposed solutions at international conferences and other forums regarding issues encountered in ODA projects, thereby contributing to the improvement and development of future projects.
