OC Global Conducts “Local Security Patrols” in the Philippines
From May 13 to May 22, 2026, Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. (OC Global) conducted “Local Security Patrols” at its overseas offices and ongoing project sites in Manila and Davao, the Philippines.
To protect the lives and property of its employees and stakeholders operating overseas, OC Global has established a Security Management Office, which is directly under the President’s authority. The office addresses various geopolitical risks, such as terrorism, natural disasters, crime, and riots, and continues to conduct safety management activities.
In these patrols, Mr. Yasuhiro Shimonuri, General Manager of the Security Management Office, who has experience in consular and security operations at overseas diplomatic establishments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, visited the sites. In Manila, based on recent criminal cases targeting Japanese nationals, he examined the security arrangements of offices and accommodation facilities and provided specific guidance on behavioral guidelines to avoid becoming involved in criminal incidents, based on the latest local security situation. In Davao, he also provided guidance on crime prevention and security arrangements based on the local security situation. In addition, taking into account the regional characteristics of Davao, which has a high risk of earthquakes, he made site-specific improvements to practical evacuation procedures, including evacuation routes from offices and procedures suited to local infrastructure conditions.
OC Global will continue its efforts to develop a safe and secure working environment so that each employee can provide high-quality technical services with peace of mind.
