The Japan-India Association was established in 1903 by Marquis Shigenobu Okuma, Viscount Moriyoshi Nagaoka, and Mr. Eiichi Shibusawa with the aim of promoting friendship between Japan and India, as well as conducting research on India and introducing Japanese culture and economic conditions. The Association engages in a wide range of activities, including hosting welcome and farewell receptions and lectures with the participation of the Ambassador of Japan to India and the Ambassador of India to Japan, organizing and delivering lectures by India-related figures from the political and business communities, and participating in or supporting India-related events.
A total of nine students enrolled in Japanese universities with an interest in India participated in this event. Drawing on her experience in projects such as railway development in India, Dr. Abe introduced the profession of development consultants and delivered a lecture on the rewards of implementing projects in India, where economic growth is remarkable. Participating students commented that the event helped deepen their understanding of India’s unique culture and customs and further increased their interest in the country. It is hoped that this event will contribute to the career development of the participating students.
Through participation in such career events, OC Global will continue to promote the appeal of working overseas and support the career development of students.
