The Project is an urban railway construction project known as the Delhi Mass Rapid Transport System Project, which has been implemented in Delhi, India, since 1997 and commenced operations in 2002, with a total route length of approximately 350 kilometers. Since the beginning of the Project, OC Global has consistently carried out consulting services in an integrated manner, including surveys, design, construction supervision, and the establishment of operation and maintenance systems.
In this Project, a wide range of Japanese railway technologies are utilized, including those related to safe train operations, rolling stock maintenance, and environmental considerations. In addition, the Project contributes to Indian society from multiple aspects, including changes in awareness at construction sites, such as adherence to construction schedules and safety management, changes in behavior, such as orderly boarding resulting from the accurate operation of metro services, and the promotion of women’s participation in society through the introduction of women-only cars. The Project also contributes to the alleviation of traffic congestion and air pollution in the capital city of Delhi.
