On November 6, 2025, Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. (OC Global; Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; CEO & President) held a workshop in Jakarta, Indonesia, aimed at strengthening collaboration with the Surbana Jurong Group (SJ Group), Singapore’s largest consulting firm, and its Australia-based group company, SMEC. The workshop was also attended by BITA (Indonesia) and HSS Engineering (Malaysia), shareholders of PT Oriental Consultants Indonesia (PT OC Indonesia), OC Global’s local subsidiary in Indonesia.

In 2017, OC Global signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SMEC to expand the partnership, promoting joint projects and personnel exchanges. Furthermore, in 2023, OC Global concluded another MoU with the SJ Group to strengthen collaboration and explore opportunities for joint projects with the company.

The workshop consisted of two sessions. In the first session, to explore further opportunities for collaboration in the future, OC Global presented its initiatives in Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), while the SJ Group introduced its latest digital solutions. Active discussions took place on creating synergies by leveraging the respective strengths of both groups. In the second session, executives from BITA and HSS Engineering were invited as guest speakers, and participants discussed the potential for expanding collaboration across the ASEAN region.
