(SPV Passo Fundo), which is engaged in the on-site production and sale of green ammonia. The plant is scheduled to be constructed within the campus of the University of Passo Fundo, and has already obtained the required environmental licenses in accordance with Brazil’s federal and relevant local legislation, with the understanding and support of the local community. Following the commencement of commercial operations, a portion of the plant’s revenue is planned to be allocated to fund scholarships for the University’s master’s program in engineering, thereby contributing to local human resource development and applied research. In addition, OCGBR and its partner Begreen H.D. are members of TecnoAgro, a public-private-academic incubation community based at the University of Passo Fundo. Professional guidance from this community has laid a strong foundation for the smooth advancement of the project.
This project not only contributes to addressing the societal challenge of reducing CO₂ emissions in Brazil’s agricultural sector, one of the world’s leading food-producing industries, but also promotes advanced collaboration among academia, government, and industry through partnerships with local universities and municipalities. Furthermore, it supports the local community by generating employment and contributing to tax revenues.
OC Global is contributing to reducing CO2 and creating employment in the area through investing in the green ammonia plant.
