Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. held its second Ideathon presentation event on December 16th, employing a hybrid format with both in-person and online participation in the headquarters conference room and via the Web. Approximately 50 people attended in total.

“Ideathon” is a portmanteau of  “idea” and “marathon,” where participants brainstorm ideas within a set time frame, continuously refine them, and compete for results, akin to a marathon.　The first internal presentation took place in March 2024; with the latest one marking the second such event. Over a period of approximately three months, 11 employees, (most of them young), formed three teams and engaged in brainstorming sessions and discussions to propose ideas for addressing challenges and providing solutions. During the discussion process, the specificity of ideas was examined, along with the feasibility for application in actual projects and market viability, including whether there is demand for them as business ventures. During the Q&A session, specific questions and comments were raised regarding business implementation, such as “How long will it take to generate profits sufficient to cover the initial investment? More fundamentally, will the proposed business model yield profits for our company?”
Through this initiative, we will further accelerate our efforts toward new businesses and private sector projects.
