Book Front Cover

PT MRTJ was established in 2008. However, the master plan and feasibility studies (FS) for subway construction had already been conducted by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and with funding from other agencies since the 1990s, prior to the company’s establishment. The construction for the Jakarta North-South Line Phase 1 project (approximately 15.7 km from Lebak Bulus Station to Bundaran HI Station) began in August 2013. It was completed in March 2019, with the line opening as scheduled. Phase 2 construction (from Bundaran HI Station to Kota Station) commenced in June 2020, aiming for a partial opening to Monas Station in 2027 and a full opening to Kota Station in 2029. Regarding the MRT East-West Line in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, it was decided that the line is implemented by PT MRTJ following revisions to Indonesian legislation under the Special Capital Region of Jakarta.

OC Global has supported the development of PT MRTJ from the beginning; we have been involved in project formation, master planning, FS, basic design, bid support, operations and maintenance (O&M), and TOD support for the Jakarta subway.
