Water Supply Commencement Ceremony
The “Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Project (Phase 3)” is being carried out using yen loans totaling approximately 80 billion yen, and it will be one of the largest water supply and sewerage projects in India. Bengaluru is also known as the “Silicon Valley of India” and there is a high concentration of Japanese companies in the city, particularly in the manufacturing and IT industries, including Toyota and Rakuten. Completing the new water and sewage facilities is expected to revitalize these companies’ activities.
Japanese technology from Toshiba Water Solutions, Kubota, Torishima, and Mitsubishi Electric has been adopted for the water purification plant facilities, pumping station facilities, and monitoring and control systems developed in this project. The government of Bengaluru aims to complete all construction by 2026.
OC Global is working to improve the sanitation environment of target countries by implementing sewerage improvement projects while supporting industrial and economic development.
