On September 18, 2024, Oriental Consultants Global (OC Global) met with the mayor of Passo Fundo, Brazil to explain the onsite green ammonia plant in which OC Global invests in. Green ammonia is produced by using electricity generated from renewable energy to electrolyze water, produce hydrogen, and then synthesize that hydrogen with nitrogen extracted from the atmosphere.

In August 2024, OC Global’s subsidiary in Brazil, ORIENTAL CONSULTANTS GLOBAL DO BRASIL LTDA (OCGBR), and its partner company in Brazil, Begreen, signed a comprehensive partnership agreement to establish three onsite green ammonia plants in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The city of Passo Fundo is one of the local governments where this onsite green ammonia plant is being installed. Among onsite green ammonia plants with a production scale exceeding 2,000 tons per year, the on-site green ammonia plant we invest in is the world’s first.

Mr. Pedro Almeida, the mayor of Passo Fundo, commented that the installation of the onsite green ammonia plant would lead to decarbonization, food security in Brazil, and the creation of local jobs, and he welcomed our investment.

On September 23, 2024, OC Global participated in a conference of TecnoAgro, an agricultural development research incubation organization, hosted by the University of Passo Fundo in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. OC Global delivered a joint keynote speech with OCGBR and Begreen.

OC Global is contributing to reducing CO2 and creating employment in the area through investing in the green ammonia plant.
