On September 29, 2024, the 11th anniversary ceremony for the opening of the Bosphorus Strait Crossing Railway (Marmaray), which Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. is engaged in, was held at Yenikapi Station in Istanbul, Turkey. This ceremony was held as part of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Turkey. The ceremony was attended by the Vice-Minister for Transport and Tourism, Mr. Hirofumi Amakawa, Deputy Minister for International Projects at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan, Mr. Kenichi Ogasawara, Ambassador, Mr. Takahiko Katsumata, Embassy of Japan in Turkey, Director General of the Middle East and Europe Department of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Mr. Kei Toyama, Chief Representative of JICA Turkey Office, Mr. Daisuke Watanabe, all from the Japanese side. From the Turkish side, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Enver İskurt and General Manager of Infrastructure Investments, Dr. Yalcin Eyigun attended the ceremony. After the ceremony, the guests celebrated the 11th anniversary of the opening by riding on a commemorative train marking the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

OC Global began construction supervision work on the Marmaray project in 2002, and the Bosphorus Strait section was partially opened in October 2023, and the entire line was fully opened in March 2019. We are currently providing construction supervision for an addition to the Haydarpaşa area on the Asian side of the project; all construction is planned to be completed in 2027.

OC Global is contributing to the establishment of secure, safe, and efficient infrastructure, while also making a positive impact on the reduction of CO2 emissions in the respective country through railway development.
