Abidjan, CÔTE D’IVOIRE – On February 23, 2024, a celebration reception for Japan’s Emperor’s birthday was held at the Embassy of Japan in Côte d’Ivoire. Invited guests included Mr. Hitoshi Matsumoto, the Branch Manager of the Côte d’Ivoire Office of Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; CEO, President: Eiji Yonezawa). At the venue, there was a sake tasting session, featuring sake from Seto Shuzo-Ten, a subsidiary of our group company.

OC Global has been participating in numerous projects in Côte d’Ivoire, including the development of the Greater Abidjan Urban Development Master Plan and the Japan-Côte d’Ivoire Friendship Intersection Improvement Project. Additionally, at the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD8), held in Tunisia in August 2022, our representative, CEO, President, Mr. Eiji Yonezawa, participated in the business forum and engaged in discussions with the Minister of Planning and Development for Côte d’Ivoire, Mr. Kaba. Since the post-civil war reconstruction period, we have built a close relationship with the country.
Our group company, Seto Shuzo-Ten, was founded in the first year of the Keio era (1865) in Kaisei-cho, Kanagawa Prefecture. Leveraging the beautiful nature and abundant resources of Kaisei-cho, Seto Shuzo-Ten offers sake that makes full use of traditional and cultural brewing techniques.
