The released network map and dashboard were developed as part of the JABODETABEK Urban Transportation Policy Integration Project (JUTPI) Phase 3, in which a Joint Venture (JV)* including OC Global is engaged. They are based on estimated transport demand projected by a demand forecasting model through 2045.

The “Future Public Transport Network Map” was designed in collaboration with FDTJ (Forum Diskusi Transportasi Jakarta), a transport-focused NGO that has been responsible for designing official transit maps in the Greater Jakarta area. The map presents the future route network in an integrated format. By adopting a unified design consistent with the current transit map, it has been developed so that stakeholders, including relevant government ministries, transport operators, local government officials, and the general public, can intuitively understand the future network.

In addition, the “Future Public Transport Network Dashboard,” developed based on this map, enables users to interactively visualize planned future routes, including MRT and LRT lines, and to systematically explore the future network in an intuitive manner. This is expected to promote broader understanding of the future transport network concept among a wide range of stakeholders, including private-sector entities, and to encourage their participation in Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) initiatives.

These tools serve as strategic communication platforms designed to foster collaboration among government, industry, academia, and civil society toward the promotion of TOD and the phased realization of the future public transport network in the metropolitan area. By encouraging diverse stakeholders to view the future of urban development and mobility as a shared agenda, the initiative is expected to advance sustainable, inclusive urban mobility.

This project is a technical cooperation project of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and aims to promote TOD in the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area and to strengthen the capacity of relevant institutions for its implementation.
