Ms. Ayaka Kawano, Manager of the Architecture Department at Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd., has been selected as a recipient of the JWEF Incentive Award to Young Woman Engineer, presented by the Japan Women Engineers Forum (JWEF). The award ceremony will be held on November 29, 2025, at Arcadia Ichigaya and online.

The JWEF Incentive Award recognizes young female engineers who have contributed to transforming mindsets and practices in society or in the workplace, and aims to highlight them as role models for women in engineering.

As a 1st-Class Architect (Kenchikushi) and development consultant, Ms. Kawano has worked on building projects in developing countries such as India and Nepal. Within the company, she also served as a member of the Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) Promotion Committee in fiscal years 2022 and 2023, contributing to improving the workplace environment to better support employees. Her achievements have been highly evaluated and led to her selection for this award.
