Jakarta, INDONESIA – On November 7, 2025, Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. (OC Global; Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) and its subsidiary, PT Oriental Consultants Indonesia (PT OC Indonesia), signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for business cooperation with PT Mass Rapid Transit Jakarta (PT MRT Jakarta) in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Indonesia. Under this memorandum, the parties agreed to collaborate in the field of Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), including transit hub development, mobility planning and management, logistics, and smart city initiatives, by complementing each other’s expertise and experience to create new business opportunities.

PT MRT Jakarta is a public enterprise operating the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta. It has been designated as the master developer for TOD along the MRT lines under the Jakarta Governor’s Decree.

Since the 1980s, OC Global has been involved in numerous transportation network development projects in Greater Jakarta, beginning with the formulation of the region’s transportation master plan. The company has also actively dispatched specialists in urban planning and development, including TOD, to support the urban planning and development initiatives of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta. Building on this background, OC Global has signed several MoUs with PT MRT Jakarta since July 2022 for strategic collaboration in business development related to TOD in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, and in November 2024, co-hosted the TOD Investment Forum in Tokyo.

Under the new MoU, the inclusion of PT OC Indonesia will further expand joint efforts to develop new business opportunities. In addition, the validity period of the MoU has been extended from three years in the previous agreement to five years this time, thereby further strengthening the trilateral collaboration among the three parties.
