Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. (OC Global; Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) sponsored the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Forum 2025, organized by PT Mass Rapid Transit Jakarta (PT MRT Jakarta), held in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta on October 21, 2025.

The forum was attended by representatives from the Government of Indonesia, the Provincial Government of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, local railway operators, Japanese companies, and officials from foreign governments, among many others from the Indonesian government and corporate sectors.

Focusing on Transit-Oriented Development and urban regeneration around Kota Station in northern Jakarta—the terminal station of the MRT Jakarta Phase 2 project currently being implemented by OC Global—the forum emphasized the preservation and utilization of the area’s historical and cultural values. The program featured keynote speeches, various presentations, and active exchanges of opinions among key stakeholders.

In addition to discussions on the integrated development of public transportation and surrounding urban areas, the forum also highlighted the importance of spatial utilization and placemaking that incorporates the historical environment. Last year, OC Global, in collaboration with MRT Jakarta, implemented a demonstration project to create cozy walking spaces at stations utilizing smart mobility solutions, reaffirming the need to further promote such initiatives.

PT MRT Jakarta is a public enterprise operating the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta. It has been designated as the master developer for TOD along the MRT lines under the Jakarta Governor’s Decree.
