Mr. Daisuke Nanjo, Deputy General Manager of the Railway Engineering Department 1 and Indonesian Railway Project Manager at Oriental Consultants Global (OC Global, Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo), made an appearance on the BS TV TOKYO program “Yoshio Ichiryu Asks About Japan’s Future (Nippon no Mirai)” which aired on January 11, 2025.

“Yoshio Ichiryu Asks About Japan’s Future” is an economic talk show that delves into the challenges faced by the Japanese economy, and explores strategies for overcoming them through interviews with corporate executives, economists, and other experts. In this episode, Mr. Ichiryu visits three Japanese companies operating in Indonesia to discuss the challenges and opportunities for co-creation between the two countries.
The program featured the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), a project in which OC Global has been involved in, ranging from surveys and design to construction supervision and operation and maintenance. It highlighted the MRT’s impact on alleviating traffic congestion and the successful implementation of punctual operations achieved through Japanese technical guidance. During the program, Mr. Nanjo commented, “I can truly feel Indonesia’s economic growth and progress through its ongoing development. As a Japanese company, we aim to coexist and grow with Indonesia.”
