On October 31, 2023, Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. (OC Global) participated in the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Forum hosted by PT Mass Rapid Transit Jakarta (PT MRT Jakarta) in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The forum was attended by approximately 200 participants, including representatives from the Jakarta Provincial Government, local TOD stakeholders, and around 150 attendees via webinar. OC Global’s President and CEO, Mr. Eiji Yonezawa, delivered a presentation titled, “Lessons Learned From Japan’s Transit Integration and TOD Implementation,” and participated in a panel discussion on connectivity in the Jakarta Special Capital Region, alongside PT MRT Jakarta and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.

PT MRT Jakarta is the operator of Jakarta’s Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and is a state-owned enterprise designated as the master developer for TOD along the MRT corridor by virtue of the Governor’s decree.

In July 2022, OC Global signed a memorandum of understanding regarding creating a business development strategy partnership with PT MRT Jakarta for TOD in the Jakarta Special Capital Region. The hosting of this forum marks a visible outcome of the collaboration between the two parties.
